Fields of Application

Preventive actions: deactivation of coal and other materials with a self-igniting tendency; minimisation of endogenic fire hazards. Impregnation of the coal surface; reduction of coal degradation. Interrupting the self-heating process. To secure coal during transport. For use in the fire prevention and active fire extinguishing. To secure coal stored for a long time.

Advantages

Very strong inhibitor of the coal oxidising process (highest class 5 in the 5 grade classification of the Central Mining Institute). The product’s high effectiveness results from its double effect:

• Mechanical effect: where owing to good penetration properties the product penetrates into pores and microcracks of coal grains; reduces oxygen access
• Chemical effect: by reducing chemical activity of coal and reducing the oxidation rate

It results in the oxygen chemisorption tendency to disappear. It interrupts the coal self-heating process that has already started. After it dries off, it forms a film resistant to washing on the coal surface. It glues together and consolidates coal grains. If used in fuel depots, it does not degrade coal or reduce its parameters. It is non-flammable.
